The Turkish bank has developed some impressive new tools for its mobile app. We take a look at the standout team that created it.
Given that people’s primary touchpoint with their bank in 2021 is their smartphone, it is imperative to have an outstanding mobile banking app. A great digital experience serves as the foundation for the bank-client relationship. In Turkey, Ziraat Bank understands the importance of mobile tools, which is why they recently introduced their new app “Ziraat Mobile” to the Turkish market.

Their next-gen app delivers fast, secure transactions along with top-notch functionalities that every modern consumer needs to manage their finances on the go. Additionally, they ensure that no customer is abandoned if they ever forget their password by linking government identity cards to the app. It is an impressive application, streamlining everyday operations for Ziraat’s customers.

İbrahim Ziya Akbulut

Ziya is Head of Digital Banking and Channel Management Department. He has been working in the banking sector for 21 years and he has worked at bank branches and several head office departments. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ziraat Technology which is one of the biggest IT companies in Turkey developing banking solutions, especially for its principal shareholder Ziraat Bank. He is excited about working on financial technologies that add value to customers’ lives.

İlknur Tereyağoğlu

İlknur is Manager of Channel Strategies Service under Digital Banking and Channel Management Department. She has been working in the banking sector for 16 years. She loves working on digital channels, mobile banking, etc. İlknur was the manager of Ziraat Mobile – “Internet Banking Online Application” & “Forgot Password” Functions with Government Chip Identity Card project. The most challenging part of the project was waiting for timing adaptation to legislative issues.

Gökhan Yıldız

Gökhan is Manager of the Internet and Mobile Banking development team at Ziraat Technology. He is responsible for the development of Ziraat Mobile and Web applications. He has been working in software development sector for over 19 years, four years of which in finance. For him the most challenging part of the project was the 3rd party integration phase.

Funda Aybar

Funda is Channel Strategies Executive at Ziraat Bank Digital Banking and Channel Management Department. She has been working in the banking sector for 14 years. Funda is actively working on several projects related with mobile banking and she is an effective business analyst. Funda took an active role in the final approval tests of the project. The most challenging part of the project was making the ID card appropriately readable by using the phone’s NFC feature.
