What is Efma?

Who can access the FinTechVisor site?

FinTechVisor is available for FinTech companies (FinTech, InsurTech, RegTech...) with a business model serving the financial services industry (banks and/or insurance companies) through innovative, tech-driven solutions. FinTechs can add their company page and solutions after logging in.

FinTechVisor is also accessible to Efma members (financial institutions) as well as Capgemini clients.

How can I create an account?

In order to create your account, please visit FinTechVisor and click on Sign up if you don't have your Efma account yet. If you have your Efma account, please click on Sign in and use your Efma credentials to access the portal.

How can I specify my FinTech needs or any project I am currently working on?

1. Log in with your Efma account or sign up on FinTechVisor
2. After a successful log in, you're in! Place your mouse cursor on your profile picture to explore your profile (top-right corner).
3. Click on My Needs if you wish to specify any FinTech project or request you are currently working on
4. Submit My Needs form to get relevant FinTech suggestions
5. Explore more details by clicking on a particular FinTech company or solution page.

How can I connect with FinTechs?

After submitting My Needs or searching the FinTech library, you can open a FinTech company page to discover more.

Start your conversation with a FinTech administrator directly through the portal!
In case you would like to know more or start a conversation, click on Get in touch button and you'll be automatically redirected to an in-site messaging tool.

What is Capgemini ScaleUp Qualification ?

The Capgemini ScaleUp Qualification is a comprehensive four-step process, evaluating a ScaleUp’s ability and maturity to partner with large corporates. Learn more here

How can I check the qualified scale-ups?

If you wish to check a list of qualified scale-ups, you need to open the FinTech library and use a filter Qualification to sort by qualification levels.

Once you open the company page, you can read more by clicking on the qualification level's icon.

How can I create a company's profile for my institution?

If you are interested in creating a dedicated company's profile for your institution and regularly display your FinTech-oriented activities (such as hackathons, acceleration programs or API Sandbox projects), please do not hesitate to contact hello@fintechvisor.com and we'll guide you through the process.

Who can update my company's profile? Can we have more than one administrator?

You must be an admin to have the rights to edit your company’s profile. A company profile's creator automatically gets the admin rights. You are allowed to add more administrators from your institution. Please contact us at help@fintechvisor.com and we will be happy to help.

Who can access my profile?

Your profile is available to FinTech companies, Efma member financial institutions and Capgemini clients. A full list of Efma members is available here. 

When was the official launch of FinTechVisor?

The official launch of the FinTechVisor Portal happened on 17 May 2018, during Efma’s CCX Forum in London.

How much does it cost to submit my FinTech company?

Participation is completely free of charge. 😊 

Can I add more than one solution?

Sure! Each FinTech can create a company page and then add as many solutions as the company has in their portfolio.

What is the FinTechVisor’s Race to the Top? Who can apply for the contest?

The contest will aim to uncover the most exciting FinTech innovations, and connect start-ups to new mentoring and partnership opportunities.

Every start-up with a business model serving the financial services industry (FinTech, InsurTech, PayTech, RegTech,...) can enter the race.

Are there any costs associated with the Contest submission?

No, your application is entirely free of charge.

How can I enter my company?

All start-ups serving financial institutions are encouraged to:

  1. Complete a company page on the FinTechVisor and add the solution(s)
  2. Record a short video pitching your start-up - its market relevance, innovation, and business potential

How can I submit my company page?

In order to create your FinTechVisor company page, you need to follow our start-up tutorial.

Contact us via help@fintechvisor.com if you need assistance in pre-filling and publishing your profile, we are always happy to help :)

What can I do to increase my chances to win?

  • Fill all the fields while creating your company page
  • Do not forget to add solution(s) that will illustrate what you are doing and will help our jury to better evaluate your company
  • While submitting your solution(s), do not hesitate to add media attachments such as videos, pictures or technical documentation. This will create an added value.

Are there any requirements on how the video pitch should look like?

  • Video can be up to 90 seconds
  • All members of your team are encouraged to participate
  • Information can be presented in any format you choose (skits, slide presentations, testimonials from users, or interviews)
  • The video must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and accessible via a link from your company page

Can I apply for more than 1 activity?

If your company fits to more than 1 activity, you can choose one more. However, each start-up can apply for maximum 2 activities in the contest.

When is the submission deadline date?

We accept all the applicants that submitted both company page and video pitch by 1 February 2019.

How are you going to select a list of nominees?

Offline voting will start on 1 February 2019

The shortlist of 10 nominees (one per activity) will be selected by an offline committee from Efma & Capgemini.

When are you going to announce a list of nominees?

A final list of nominees will be announced on 12 February 2019 when the online voting will be also open.

Can you explain the process of online voting?

Voting Phase: 12 -28 February 2019

Voting will be accessible for all FinTechVisor visitors which includes Financial Institutions (Efma members & Capgemini clients) and start-up companies. 

 

Online voting will determine the top three finalists and constitute 25% of the weight to determine the winner.

 

When the winner will be announced?

The winner will be selected during the online event taking place on 7 March 2019. The online event will include an overview of FinTech trends, our 3 finalists pitching their solutions, a panel discussion with judges and influencers, followed by the winner’s announcement!

Who is going to select the winner?

The top 3 finalists will pitch their solution during an online webinar, with a panel of financial institutions and industry influencers selecting the overall winner. Their votes will account for the remaining 75 %.

Is there any specific voting process that the jury will follow?

When evaluating the finalists, our Jury will take the following criteria into consideration:

Originality, Impact and Universality. The framework assigns ‘0 - 3’ points to each of

the 3 assessment criteria i.e. Originality, Impact and Universality with an additional ‘0 - 1’ point for ‘Gut feel’, this will provide a total score of anywhere between 0 and 10

points for a nominee with a 10 stars rating.

 

Impact:

The start-up solution’s capacity to generate a superior, longterm competitive edge and a significant return on investment.

 

Originality:

The uniqueness of the idea in the marketplace and its potential as a game changer.

 

Universality:

The start-up’s adaptability across different markets and countries.
